Applications
1) BTT-TPA-COF has high crystallinity and p-conjugated framework, and its photocurrent density response is better than g-C3N4 under visible light irradiation, indicating its better charge separation performance. Through DFT calculations, BTT-TPA-COF has highly delocalized HOMO and LUMO orbitals, which are beneficial for intramolecular electron transfer.
2) BTT-TPA-COF, as a metal free photocatalyst, is used to synthesize 2-arylbenzimidazole compounds, exhibiting high photocatalytic activity, good substrate tolerance, and excellent recyclability. In addition, due to its high specific surface area and porosity, it may have potential applications in gas adsorption, energy storage, sensing, and catalysis.
